Fuel wood and charcoal is a major energy source for local consumption and the annual of the total consumption is estimated around 5.5 million ton.

84% of the households in Cambodia meet their energy need through fuel wood, he said.
In rural area the average of fuel wood consumption per family is around 5Kg per day while in urban there was around 2.1 kg in the average, he said.
