Cambodian government yesterday approved to hand over the convention on international trade in endangered species of wild fauna and flora (CITES ) to the National Assembly for endorsing.
Up to now there are 1,200 species, ministry of agriculture forestry and fishery report recently.
Among them there are 125 species of mammals, 630 bird species, 114 reptiles, 40 carnivore animals, and 300 insect species.
Beside the animal there are 15,000 plants growing in the country.
Some of those animal and plant are in the critical endanger because of the illegal trade and local consumption.
