Among 29 deal signed on Saturday during the Communist Party of China (CPC)’s a member of Standing Committee of the Political Bureau and Secretary of Commission for Political and Legal Affairs of CPC Central Committee comrade Zhou Yongkang’s 3 days visit, there are one helicopter deal.
Phnom Penh Post, a leading English daily newspaper said Cambodia agreed to acquire Chinese-made Z-9 helicopters for US$195 million in one of 26 memorandums of understanding agreed by the two countries on Saturday.
Cooperation was pledged in sectors such as energy, mining, agriculture and road construction, as well as defence spending and aid. The two-day meeting also saw deals inked involving Cambodian conglomerate Royal Group and the Chinese backers of the controversial Boeung Kak lake development
Mr. Zhou Yongkang and his delegation paid official visit in Cambodia from August 19-21.
