17 Years China Invested in Cambodia USD 8.8 billion

17 year Cambodian Council for Development of Cambodia reported that Cambodia attracted USD 8.8 billionĀ investment projects from China.

According to the presentation in on Tuesday at the CDC, from 1994 to July 2011, China is the number 1 follow by South Korea with USD 4 billion, European countries USD 3.6 billion, Malaysian with USD 2.6 billion and Taiwan USD 823 million.

The major China investment projects in Cambodia are mainly in hydro-power dams, mineral resources, garment industry, banking and finance, tourism and agriculture.

The report show that during these 17 years United States’ and Japan’s investments ranked 10th and 11th withUSD 282 million and USD 148 million.
