Shinawatra Family Members Visit Phnom Penh this Week

Shinavatra Family Member, including new elected Thai Prime Minister Ms. Yingluck Shinawatra and her brother ousted prime minister will start official visit to Cambodia tomorrow, Cambodian media report.

The new elected Thai Prime Minister Ms. Yingluck Shinawatra will pay an official visit to Cambodia on Thursday

Ms. Yingluck Shinawatra will arrived Phnom Penh around 3pm and hold official talks with Prime Minister Hun Sen and  pay courtesy call to king Norodom Sihamoni and the reception at the government hall and depart to Thailand around 8pm.

Ms. Yingluck Shinawatra is the 28th Prime Minister of Thailand and assumed office in July 2011.

Prime Minister Hun Sen said former Thai Prime Minister H.E. Thaksin Shinawatra will make his visit to Cambodia on Friday, a day after his sister end visiting program in the kingdom.

Speaking in the students’ graduation ceremony of the National University of Management at the Diamond Island, Prime Minister said Thaksin will join the Asian Economic Future Conference, organized by the Royal Academy of Cambodia and would also give a lecture to Cambodia officers

Mr. Thaksin Shinawatra will pay visit from September 16-24 but no plan to talk on oil and gas issues. Prime Minister Hun Sen said it is not the obligation of Thaksin, it is the Thai government.
