Cambodia Prime Minister Hun Sen this morning said Cambodia debt China only around USD 2 billion and decline some rumor that Cambodia possibly debt China more than USD 5 billion.
Speaking at the ground breaking ceremony of the second Chroy Changva Bridge, Prime Minister said Cambodia government directly debt China only around USD 2 billion the rest is the government’s guarantee to the private sector.
According to Phnom Penh Post publish yesterday, Cambodia currently debt foreign countries USD 8 billion, including USD 6 billion to China, USD 1.5 billion to Russian, USD 317 million to U.S.
According to the paper next year the government of Cambodia plan to borrow the foreign countries up to USD 1.1 billion to help repair the damage infrastructure by flood and to support the rice export capacity building,
The government of Cambodia plan to spend around USD 2.6 billion up from USD 2.4 billion this year.
